Welcome...Our Mission here at Golden Street Baptist Church, is to reach and to win the multitudes for Christ so that His death will not be in vain.
Our Vision...to set forth the strategic steps and directions the church plan to use in order to accomplish its purpose. Through prayer churches invoke God’s power, presence, and anointing; that the work of the Holy Spirit does in and through us, as we teach, sing, pray, worship, or preach, that the message of God, will be proclaimed to His people.
The leadership of Golden Street Baptist Church consist of those leaders who are in leadership positions and have the ability to impart the vision of the church, evaluate potential leaders, give them the tools they need, and help them along the way at the beginning of their Christian journey.
Grace…God’s unmerited favor; it is a free gift. Christianity proclaims that God’s favor, His blessing, and heaven itself can be had only as a free gift. It is not earned or deserved- here you contrast man’s way with God’s way. Man’s way is to try to earn, to deserve, to pay for, to work for everything: grades, rewards, wages, etc. With man nothing is free. Contrasted God’s way is grace- to receive freely what we don’t deserve Ephesians 2:8.
Ask,” how much do you pay for the air you breath, intelligence, physical life? If they are all free gifts from God, how much more are eternal life and Heaven.
Man is a sinner; Romans 3:23 says all have sinned of God’s standard. Man cannot save himself; God’s standard is perfection to get into heaven- meaning a person must have never done anything wrong ever, but that is impossible because we have inherited the sinful nature of Adam. Jesus Christ is the God-Man who took our place on the cross- he who knew no sin, became sin for us. What he did: he died on the cross, and rose from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins and to purchase a place in heaven for us.
