Evangelism...sharing the good news to lost sinners, and is the last phase in the process of the strategic vision; only after one has developed an effective prays life, understood Christian education, discipleship, and fellowship is she ready for evangelism.

Education...Three objectives were evident in Jesus’ teaching that provide basis for determining faithful objectives for the contemporary practice of Christian education.

  1. Persons will seek to come into right relationship with Jesus Christ.
  2. Christian Education is to help the new member grow into mature disciples
  3. Christian Education is to equipped the church members for the work of the ministry

These objectives point to the consistent view of Christian education: that the persons become believers, mature as believers, and function as believers. As people learn these lessons, they enable the community of faith- the church to become the effective body of Christ, the faithful new humanity, and the redemptive people of God.

Education of course, in no way replaces the necessary presence of the Holy Spirit.   Education alone cannot convict people of sin, preserve them in the hour of temptation, or comfort them at times of loss and grief.    The ministry of the Holy Spirit gives power, boldness, comfort, and His presence can never be replaced by educational experience.   But with the enabling presence of the Holy Spirit, the word and work of faith come alive through the ministry of education.

Discipleship...The responsibility for discipleship is two fold. First, it is the responsibility of the individual evangelist and team who leads the new believer to Christ. Secondly, it is the responsibility of the local church.

Relationships... With prayer you may pursue every person with whom you have opportunity to share the gospel. God will move in response to your petitions and work through the circumstances that surround them. It is loving, caring people- no materials and programs that make disciples. Non personal media such as books and tapes are only tools. They may supplement, but they can never become a substitute for personal communication. Without relational involvement, your follow up and training will be like a robot caring for an infant What you can do- pray intelligent procedure begins and ends with prayer. Paul said, “night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith. 1Thessalonians 3:10 “we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.

Fellowship... Emphasize every Christians’ need for spending time with fellow believers for mutual encouragement, growth, and strength. You may also want to invite him for dinner after worshiping on Sunday.

Correspond... Intelligent procedure also utilizes written correspondence. Most of the New Testament epistles are follows up letters. Correspondence can be used to reinforce personal contact or to maintain contact with individuals who are no longer coming to church.

Telephone... People who have been evangelized into the local church should be called by one the team members with in twenty- four hours after talking to him or her about Christ.
